What can you possibly do in Bembridge in the Winter?
We love living on the Isle of Wight. We particularly love the Winter months when the Island is quieter and the only people you meet is a few hardy souls wrapped in their winter coats braving the elements on the sandy beaches scattered with dogs and seagulls. From stormy seas to beautiful calm days, the walks are invigorating and thrilling. A morning coffee stop at The Pilot Boat Inn or a local cafe to warm the hands is a must. Most of our visitors come to the village in the Summer but life still goes on during the Winter months. On the harbour, come rain or shine, there are still regular weekend sailing races, the boats are still bobbing on their moorings and the tide still ebbs and flows. Up in the village the baker still bakes, the farm shop has a wonderful display of local produce, the fishmongers is still stocked with mouth watering local fish and the butcher is still selling his famous sausage rolls. There are art classes. yoga sessions, riding, photography classes, boot camps, card evenings and music nights to be found. If you need a relaxing weekend or a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then come to Bembridge, stay and enjoy.
